Those Moments

You ever have those moments where you just feel inspired? 

I'm in one now, so I thought before I head off to bed I would just write a little bit of what's going on.

Currently everyone here is tucked away and most fast asleep, but I am wide awake. I'm not exactly sure why, except for this thankfulness in my heart to be here that is keeping me awake. I was just thinking today of how much I love these kids we get to spend our days with.. How I love the teachers we get to interact with, and how we get to learn yet another language (Camai) as we teach English. 

I promise more pictures on our there way on to my next blog- but for now just take a look into those few faces there..

Those little ones are the ones we get to love on every day.. I have the privilege and honor to teach these kids- not just English, but something far greater..love..

This is because of you, ya know? I only get to experience this because of you!

Honestly, I think these kids teach me. It didn't take long for these little one's to warm up to us, or call us their "best friends" , they respect us, and are eager to learn. Many of these children know their own language (Camai) and English. They are smart, and funny, and so eager to live life to the fullest. I will express that in an upcoming blog, but these kids didn't always have the opportunities they have now. This country has suffered a great deal of tragedy at the hands of a tyrant who was in power for some time. This tyrant conducted the most brutal genocide known to this country, and now over 30 years later, out of the ashes something beautiful is happening!

These kids are walking in freedom and joy now, and it's easy to see. We spend a lot of time hearing what they want to be when they grow up- Doctor, Scientist, Teacher, WWE wrestler, Tour guide..

The only options these little ones would've had years ago was to be farmers and work farming their entire lives. 

These kids have ambition, desires, dreams, and their hearts are so big full of love for anyone who dreams with them. 

I'm a dreamer..

I fit right in here, and I feel their joy rub off on me. 

I truly understand why Jesus said to have"faith like the children" as I watch these little ones. 

This month I'm walking in newness of life, and I feel it's largely due to these kids. Maybe it's the heart of a father within me, or seeing these children with His eyes I don't know but something happened in my heart. Month 6 on the World Race, and something just clicked. It's a  "something special" kind of energy ..

I am walking as a son, and displacing my own orphaned spirit, displacing an orphaned heart. I feel energized, refreshed, renewed, and so so healthy. I feel healthy spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally. I am taking care of myself and my heart. Loving out of the love that has been, and is being given, and just when I think I should run out- that's the moment my cup spills over.. I feel I am leading my heart well.. Leading it to the Father, and rest, and because of that I am able to lead others well. I am able to lead my team well.
